We have discovered an issue within the system that affects how messages, sent from Blackboard, are replied to. This issue mainly affects, but is not limited to, those using Office 365 or Windows 10 email clients. Please review the following information and take the necessary steps as indicated to correct this situation:
Problem: Students attempting to reply to an instructor email (sent from within a course) will be presented with “firstname.lastname@example.org< email@example.com >” in the “To” field of the email. Replying to such an address will fail and not be delivered.
Workaround: After hitting “reply" in your email program, check the "To" address before sending to ensure your reply is going to your intended recipient. You may need to enter in the instructor’s email address manually when replying to these emails.
Should you need further assistance, please contact the Hood IT Help Desk at (301) 696-3622 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
